Hello, I'm Emily
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in London, United Kingdom.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What started as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't part of the grand plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, adjusted routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they should have.
The Adaptation Phase
Culture shock, uncertainty, and learning on the fly were part of it. Over time, routines took shape. We found spots that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
What Led Me to Create JorveniVenioLan
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. Missing was a frank, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that void with practical advice drawn from real life in United Kingdom.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Real-world experience from life in United Kingdom
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever meaningful changes occur
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism board resource
- Not a paid-review platform
- Not just a general travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in United Kingdom continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in London or anywhere in United Kingdom, please feel free to contact me.
